Penny Farthing Rush - the Dream of rider

The penny-farthing is the earliest ancestor of the bicycle, with a history of over 150 years. It is characterized by its large front wheel and small back wheel. April Fong, the founder of Kakato® Premium Pet Food, became fascinated by this sport after learning about it by chance.

She traveled to Australia to have a custom penny-farthing made and to learn from a teacher. Notably, she is the only person from Hong Kong to have ever participated in the National Penny Farthing Championship.

Last year, she brought the sport back to Hong Kong, established the Asia Penny Farthing Association (APFA), and started offering classes. In the future, she hopes to host a world-class penny-farthing race in Hong Kong, aiming to share the spirit of courage and challenge with the public.
